BIOGRAPHY

The sun cannot come out every day. With everyday struggles, life's experiences and the pain one may feel from these occurrences can make the sun stay away when the sky is clear. Well, It's time for the sunglasses to come out because one of today's newest stars is about to shine through the scene.

Sic Osyrus (pronounced Sike O Seye Rus) was born and raised in Philly then finished up his last 3 years of high school in South Carolina. While living in Philly, like any other hood, he went through rough times but what made it a much harder was having nine brothers and sisters that all lived together in the same house, one mother, no fathers.

In a vital decision, Sic's mom thought the family would have a better chance for survival if she moved them to the south, but when they got down Sic felt challenged because it was much slower than he was generally used to and knew he would be getting into trouble quickly. While doing so a great thing happened, he met up with his cousin Gabe and Un, and they started making music with a couple of homies that were all from NY so they all clicked. After high school he moved back to NY with his cousin "Un" to be his eyes, both of them were on the grind but that same year he unfortunately past away and that left a huge toll on Sic's life and also left him homeless for a while. He stayed with friends until he got back on my feet. Shortly thereafter a run in with the law sent Sic away for 14 months, he new from this point on, it was time to get and stay focused on his musical passion and strive forward towards success.

Sic Osyrus's sound is his strength, his flaws, his fears, his ups and downs, his sound is that which makes you second guess your reason for being who it is that people see you as, his sound is his life. Sic's reasons for wanting to make it in this industry is because he wants to get paid to do things related to his passions, instead of doing other things to get money that will not benefit his or his family's future. Although his upbringing was difficult, it made me stronger to learn how to make something out of nothing. He respects the artists that paved the way like KRS One and Redman, he wants to be an artist that people say the same about. Sic did a lot of things that put him in positions that almost jeopardized his future, he learned from his experiences and chose to share them with others through his music. When you press play, you will understand.

Fast-forward to 2007/2008 and Sic Osyrus is poised to gain a spot amongst the rising talent in the music world. Having being nominated for the UMA Best Male Rapper this year, Dropping his critically acclaimed mix tape 'Sic O Nomic's' Hosted by Remy Ma's DJ, Bedtyme357, opening for acts such as Saigon and JR Writer, as well as having his music placed on all the major online sites such as AllHipHop.com, 50 different mix tapes, and getting major press in Rap Fanatic, Nobodysmiling.com, Crack DVD and more, you will definitely know the name, and remember it thoroughly, very soon. Now Signed to a production deal with J Hatch and Drawzilla of the underground powerhouse, Inasirkl Music Group, Sic Osyrus is being put through their internal vehicle of showcases, mix tapes, radio show and PR relationships and resources in efforts to create a buzz so large that the labels come to them.
